The two main characters of a short(??) comic I have in the works. Charlie Stone and Lindy Hopper. A pair of secret agents fighting the war on prohibition and robots in the year 1932A. They kick ass using a deadly arsenal of swing and lindy hop moves.

Gatling Gertie. Possible villain for a planned project. I think I started drawing the gun first. More sketches of the like to come. Pretty excited about this idea.

Randoms.

Oh, old people.
They are crazy fun to draw. It’s funny how much a body type can degenerate with age, especially with cartoons. It’s kinda fascinating. Geezers are the best.

A few doodles of Roach. And that is Missingno of Pokemon Red/Blue fame near the top.

These were from Feb.1- Hourly Comic Day. I had my sketchbook with me all day, so participating was easy. Unfortunately, laziness prevented me from scanning these. Until now!

Making a series of panels based on the D&D game I played that night would have been amusing, but time constraints allowed for a splash page instead. (Gideon was my character for that particular game.)

Here, have a pair of Paul Giamattis.

Wanting to draw Paul Giamatti stems from the fact that he’s such a great character actor and has so much personality in his face (even if it’s sad for the most part). This first sketch is hilarious to me because it looks like a mugshot. The second one was after I had found my bearings and decided to make him nervous/complainey, which is one of my favorite Giamatti archetypes.

Last few for the night. A pair of Marvel Superheroes!! My fave, Spidey. And also Iron Fist, another not-so-well known favorite of mine, sporting his modern day duds. That one was more of a test to see how these new fangled brush pens work.

Another turn at Slattery goes wrong. While it doesn’t look like him, it is certainly a person! Speaking of persons and/or people, the other charming fellow on this page is the titular OC of my comic in progress, Roach. And some guy with a nightcap on, I dunno.
That one at the bottom of the page was an experiment in hatching that went horribly wrong! Explosion at the hatching lab.
